My story
From corporate marketing
to a business of my own.
In 2018, a sudden illness changed how I thought about work, income and the life I wanted to build.
The decision
One employer held all my financial security.
When I got home, I returned to my marketing director job. Daily pain made the long hours harder. My income depended on one employer while my body was failing me.
I wasn’t okay with that anymore.
The business I built
So I left. And built income I could control.
I started a solo consulting business, then added digital products, a newsletter, courses, coaching and sponsorships. Within two years, those income streams added up to a six-figure business (gross revenue). It took 18 years of marketing experience and a lot of hours to get there.
These are my results, not typical ones. Most people earn less, and some earn nothing.
My Substack newsletter became the lead engine for all of it.

I didn’t read about this in a book and build a course around someone else’s framework. I lived it first, then taught it.
I grew 9-To-Thrive from zero to 12,600+ subscribers in 20 months, became a Substack bestseller and reached the Top 50 on the Substack Business leaderboard.
These are my results, not typical ones. Most people grow more slowly.
